Watch The Music Video
Back in the spring of 2025, our Director of Marketing, Brian Potter, received a late-night text from Titan’s Chief of Staff: “You know, you’re really missing out on an opportunity to turn the SNL ‘D*** in a Box’ video into a 'Drone in a Box' parody...”. Right away, Danielle Potter, Titan’s Marketing Specialist, wrote original lyrics, a music producer was booked, and the project began to take flight.
At the time, Titan Protection was rolling out its new automated drone security services. With such a game-changing product, we knew we needed creative ways to show just how impactful drones can be for commercial properties. And what better way to introduce something revolutionary than with a wink, a laugh, and a parody everyone would remember?
Fast forward to July 2025:
When pre-production kicked off to bring this music video idea to life. Partnering with bmp creative, Titan Protection cast convincing Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake look-alikes, who were both so committed that they shaved their own facial hair to nail the look. During auditions, one candidate even broke out a sock puppet for his tape. That playful energy sealed the deal, and after a nationwide search, our cast was set.
Bringing it all together:
To bring it all together, we tapped Kansas City–based Cameron Logan Cox to direct the video. Cameron’s experience directing music videos for artists like Tech N9ne, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Lil Wayne proved invaluable during the rapid two-day shoot. Filmed on location at Titan’s own offices, and styled by Production Designer, Mahryn Barron, the production became a true team effort, featuring cameos from employees across the company. Shout out to Ryan Smith, Kyle Stout, Josh Leon, Josh Coupe, and Tony Kvist, Titan’s In-House Media Producer, Austin Smith, Director of Marketing, Brian Potter, and Marketing Specialist Danielle Potter, who all worked hard on set.
The day we filmed with the drone on site was especially memorable, and windy! But you wouldn’t know it from the final cut. The drone flew smoothly, professionally, and looked ready for Hollywood close-ups.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without Titan’s founder and CEO, Ryan Smith. Not only did Ryan greenlight the entire experiment, but his cameo may just be the coolest moment in the video.
Picture this: Ryan holding a stone-cold stare as the cast danced around him, whispering in his ear, doing everything they could to break him. Spoiler alert: he didn’t flinch.
At its core, “Drone in a Box” is humorous and light-hearted, but it also reflects what Ryan has built: a company that takes security seriously, pushes the boundaries of technology, and invests in great people to make it happen. The way we assembled a top-tier crew for this project mirrors how Titan builds its security teams, with expertise, passion, and creativity.
Every Single Business Needs a Drone in a Box
We hope you watch the video, laugh along, and maybe even practice your dance moves. But when it’s time to get serious, remember: Titan is here to deliver security solutions that always go Above and Beyond.
